Limbo is a puzzle-based video game developed by independent studio Playdead, originally published by Microsoft Game Studios for Xbox 360.

Limbo is a super-horror intellectual and survival-themed game. Released to the public by Playdead in 2010. Although released a long time ago, the appeal and meaning of the game are still mentioned a lot.

Rule 

Limbo game is built with quite simple rules, but to perform well Limbo needs an individual with outstanding flexibility. When entering the game, players will see no text, no dialogue, and only rapid footsteps. Sometimes there is only the sound of rain and crows flying, making the character even more lonely.

Plot

At one point in his journey, the unnamed male character meets a female character, who he thinks might be his sister but is prevented from accessing her. In the end, the forest was replaced by the ruined city. After completing the last puzzle, the boy will be thrown through a glass and returned to the forest. After waking up and recovering from pain and shock, the character will travel a short distance until he meets a girl again, who, as he approaches, startled him to his feet. At this point, the screen turns black, the game will be abruptly ended.

Drawing on Limbo's aesthetic, critics have pointed to Limbo as an example of video games as an art form. Critics found the open-ended work to have a deeper meaning attached to the game's mechanics, while others argued that the lack of a significant plot and the abrupt ending diminished the power of the game.
